These plots show the power and moisture content in a cross-section of one of the stacks at four points in the drying cycle. The hot electrode is on the left side of each plot. The initial moisture content is 65%. It is apparent that at the end of the drying cycle, the wood on the ground electrode side still retains significant moisture. The results of the simulation agreed well with experimental data.
