RF/vacuum wood drying kiln (2)

One possible solution to the drying uniformity problem would be to remove the load at the half-way point, turn it around, and then continue the drying process. However, this is undesirable from the material handling point of view and also because of the maximum power density in the wood. It can be seen from the plots below that each of the four corners of the load is subjected to high power in turn (two before turning the load and two after). This high power density can destroy the internal structure of the wood.
