Channabasappa Eswarappa received the B.E. degree in electronics and communication from Mysore University, India, in 1980, and the M.Tech degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 1982.

He worked as an Assistant Executive Engineer, and later as an Executive Engineer in the Transmission Research Development Laboratory, Indian Telephone Industries, Bangalore, India. He was mainly engaged in the design and development of microwave circuits and the characterization of microstrip discontinuities. Since 1986 he has been engaged in research on numerical techniques for solving electromagnetic problems. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in 1990.

In June 1992, Dr. Eswarappa joined the research team of the NSERC/MPR Teltech Industrical Research Chair in RF Engineering as a Research Engineer.

Since January 1997 he is Principal Design Engineer at MACOM, Lowell, MA, USA.
